Wood Duck Wildlife Management Area

Area 668 acres. Consists of riparian wooded habitats bordering the Elkhorn River, with several oxbow lakes and a stream. Many eastern songbirds nest here, and the marshy lakes are used by large numbers of geese, ducks, pelicans, cormorants, and occasional Trumpeter Swans. The perimeter roads are often wet and sometimes even flooded during wet springs, so caution is needed when driving.
