Habitat includes 80 acres of wetland and 80 acres of upland. In the mid-1990’s this property was purchased by The Nature Conservancy through a cooperative effort with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture. Restoration work included filling a large pit along the property’s south boundary and reseeding the uplands to native grasses. A parking lot was installed on the east side. This wetland generally has standing water only after heavy precipitation events or snow melts.
