Medicine Creek State Recreation Area

Area of WMA 6,726 acres, SRA area 1,768-acre reservoir (Harry Strunk Lake) & 1,200 acres of upland. There are 17 hiking trails present and both primitive and modern camping facilities. Wood ducks are surprisingly common here, and barn owls breed on the area. About 5,000 acres are managed for upland habitat, and over 50,000 trees and shrubs have been planted. Park entry permit required for the State Recreation Area.
