Lake Seldom

Begun in 1998 with the restoration of 160 acres of land later purchased by the city of Holdrege and designated as a wildlife refuge. 144 acres of adjacent land, now known as the Lake Seldom Addition, were purchased with Environmental Trust Funds. Its proximity to the city of Holdrege provides “green space’ for the city park system The local community plans to utilize the site for its educational, recreational, environmental and aesthetic values. A restoration project was completed on the wetland in 2002.
