Good waterfowl and shorebird viewing during spring migration depending upon water conditions. Habitat includes 195 acres of wetland and 372 acres of upland. Recent management has attempted to control the invasive vegetation growth. Water can be pumped during dry migratory seasons. It offers a good variety of waterfowl, waders, and shorebirds. White-faced ibises, pectoral sandpipers, American bitterns, black-crowned night herons, and whooping cranes have been reported here in recent years.
