Sora Wildlife Management Area
Located in Fillmore County.
South Sacramento Wildlife Management Area
Habitat includes 82 acres of marshland and 85 acres of upland pasture.
Spikerush Wildlife Management Area
This site consists of mixed marsh and upland habitats including 55 acres of wetland.
Straightwater Wildlife Management Area
This site includes 102 acres of marsh, 126 acres of upland habitat and 12 acres of permanent water.
Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area
This site includes 27 acres of water, 9 acres of timber, 54 acres of pasture and 70 acres of cropland.
Tamora Waterfowl Production Area
This site includes 228 acres of wetlands and 52 acres of upland habitat.
Theesen Lagoon Waterfowl Production Area
Habitat includes 46 acres of wetlands and 34 acres of uplands. Very consistent and productive during the mid-1990s, has been disappointing in recent dry years. Private property across the road to the west of Theesen Waterfowl Production Area usually has good mudflats for shorebirds in spring and late summer.
Troester Basin Waterfowl Production Area
Habitat includes 271 acres of wetland and 49 acres of upland.
Verona Waterfowl Production Area
Habitat includes 38 acres of wetland and 122 acres of upland. Verona WPA is part of a cluster of adjoining rainwater basin wetlands known as the Verona Complex. This complex reconnected an entire upland and wetland community of adjoining wetlands including a 20 acre state WRP and over 400 acres
