Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure

Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure is a beautiful, family-friendly outdoor attraction in Nebraska City – home of Arbor Day. Explore the tree house trail nestled in rich Missouri River deciduous forest. Climb a 50 foot high tree house to view canopy birds on their level and get a birds-eye view of the forest. New in 2008 experience the Discovery Ride – a 3-mile one hour guided journey into the magical places of Arbor Day Farm not normally seen on foot.

At least 175 bird species have been recorded at Arbor Day Farm by Dr. Laurence Falk, a local birding expert. Dr. Falk is available at pre-arranged times to lead groups of birders of any skill level. To arrange, click “Guided Birding” in the Details box at right.

Hours of operation are Nov-Apr: Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Memorial Day – Labor Day: Mon-Sat 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday 10a.m. – 7p.m. Fall Harvest (Labor Day – Nov 1): Mon-Sun 9a.m. – 7p.m. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $4.50 for kids 3-12, 0-2 free. Yearly passes available.

The 144 room Lied Lodge and conference center is an attraction in itself, with lovely log architecture and decor that embraces the beauty of the forest and the importance of conservation. The lodge includes an Olympic size pool, restaurant, bar and gift shop. ‘\
